Day 6, part 3, That's a wrap!

After coffee and a bagel in the room
An Awe-Some! "2nd breakfast" at the Durham Cafe
A wiggle through town, across the Trent-Severn Waterway, some nice city bike infrastructure, the split at the TransCanada Trail...we were finally ready to start riding
Wait
What?!
"Are we in ... Wisconsin?!"
Some "big" views today
And some "tight" ones too
Be kind
Be calm
Be safe
Thank you.
Small town Ontario.
So nice.
Some big climbs
Almost to the top, Heidi!
I wish I could stop at Gates and Brovi in Madison for a beer or 3 with Tupper after this ride ...
Heidi, in her "happy place"
Reminds me of Cafe Domestique in Madison
Kinda rude to have a Yuge! climb right outta the gate, after lunch, eh?
We had decided to go "off route" today
It would have been REALLY long for us, with some hike-a-bike, etc. on the actual COLT route for this section
So, after staring at "the maps" for a while yesterday I came up with "some wiggles" we could do, part gravel, part road, and mostly off the main "big" roads
Lotta farms, corn, soy, cows, and big views
Fresh harvest on the right looked kinda ... beautiful
I didn't stop
And I also didn't get as good a photo of it as I had wanted.
Dang.
I didnt realize my friend John Owen had also moved to Ontario?
"Uh, Google SAID it was a road, Heidi? I swear!"
Not too bad, mostly.
Some nice views from the farm road, anyway
Glad we brought our "adventure bikes" on this adventure!
Made it!
We can see ... the 401
And the VIA Rail tracks
And Lake Ontario!
Great!
Hello Port Hope!
